Marking Up a Screenshot
A major time-saving feature of Screenshots is the ability to mark up your screenshots as you take them. In the tab that opens after you take a screenshot, you can:
- Enter a title.
- Enter a description.
- Annotate the screenshot using the drawing tools.
Drawing Tools
Use the tools panel to the right of screenshot to select a drawing tool. The available tools are:
Freehand Use your mouse like a pen to draw on the screenshot. |

Line Draw a line. Click-and-drag to start the line and release to end it. Hold the Ctrl key while dragging to force a horizontal or vertical line. |

Rectangle Draw a rectangle. Click to start one corner and drag to the opposite corner. |

Ellipse Draw an ellipse by clicking and dragging. |

Solid Rectangle Draw a solid rectangle. You can use this to "black out" a region of the screenshot. |

Highlight Highlight regions of the screenshot with color. |

Text Click where you want to start the text. Use the keyboard to add the text. |

Arrow Draw an arrow. Click to start the end and drag to where you want the arrowhead. Hold the Ctrl key while dragging to force a horizontal or vertical arrow. |

Undo Undo your last change. Click the button repeatedly to undo multiple changes. |

Redo Click to re-apply a change. You can only redo the last change that you undid. |

Color Select the color to use for the selected tool. Click the color box (black by default) to open the color selector and select a new color. |

Line Size For tools that draw lines, you can click the size button (looks like a black dot) to specify the thickness of the line. |

Text Size After selecting the text tool, you can click the "T" button at the bottom to specify the size of the text. |
