Taking a Screenshot
Once you have installed the Screenleap extension, you will be able to take a screenshot of any web page using the screen capture menus and then selecting whether to capture the full browser window or a specific region.
Screen Capture Menus
There are two ways to access the screen capture feature:
- By clicking on the icon to the right of your browser's address bar.
- By right-clicking on the web page and then pointing to the Screenleap option.
Capture Window
Click Capture window to take a screenshot of the entire visible area of the current web page.
Capture Region
Click Capture region
to take a screenshot of a specific part of the page. Click and drag on the web page to make a rectangle around
the area you want to capture.
Once you have defined the capture region, you have a few options:
- Click and drag the edge of the rectangle to resize the capture region.
- Click and drag inside the rectangle to move the rectangle.
You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the rectangle one pixel at a time. - Use the dimensions info as a guide if you need to capture an image of a specific size.
- Use the Cancel button or Esc key to cancel the capture and continue browsing.
- Click Capture or hit Enter to take a screenshot of the region inside the rectangle.
Screenshot Tab
After you take a screenshot, it will open in a new tab in your browser. This is where you can add notes to the screenshot, annotate it, download it as an image file, and share it with others. The page that you were browsing will remain open in the original tab so you can close the screenshot tab when you are done to continue browsing.
